A Day in the Life of a Googletopian

Here in Googletopia, citizens all follow one of two general schedules designed to maximize their effort towards the advancement of technology, renewability, and personal enlightenment.



  1. Day Shift Schedule. For the Normal Workers:


  • 6:00-7:00 - Citizens Wakeup, Get ready for the day, and Eat their locally produced breakfast
  • 7:00-7:45 - Citizens head to work by way of bike or electric scooter
  • 7:45-9:00 - Work Session 1 M-F, Family time Sat-Sun
  • 9:00-9:15 - Universal Coffee Break, Gotta have that Caffeine
  • 9:15-12:00 - Work Session 2 M-F, Personal Reflection Time Sat-Sun
  • 12:00-13:00 - Lunch Break, Perfect time to socialize
  • 13:00-15:00 - Work Session 3 M-F, Social Time Saturdays, Church Time Sundays
  • 15:00-20:00 - Free Time
  • 22:00 - Recommended Bed Time
      2. Night Shift Schedule. For Programers and Deep Thinkers (Philosophers).
  • 16:00-17:00 - Citizens Wakeup after Eight Hours of Sleep, Eat, Get ready
  • 17:00-17:45 - Citizens Head to Work, Stop and Socialize with Day shift
  • 17:45-19:00 - Work Time M-F, Focused Enlightenment Sat-Sun
  • 19:00-19:15 - Universal Caffeine Break, Gotta Stock Up
  • 19:15-22:00 - Work Session 2 M-F, Personal Reflection Time Sat-Sun
  • 22:00-23:00 - Lunch (ish) Break, Most people on night shift use the time for writing their thoughts down.
  • 23:00-1:00 - Work Session 3 M-F, Group Discussion Time Saturday, Church Time Sunday
  • 1:00-7:00 - Free Time
  • 7:00 - Recommended Bed Time

Some Terminology:
  • Day Shift-For married workers, and those with non programing/maintenance jobs.
  • Night Shift-For single workers, mostly programers, scientists, and philosophers. 
  • Family Time-Families engage in group activities designed to tighten family ties.
  • Personal Reflection-Induvidual's go and sit out in the woods to reflect on life.
  • Social Time (Saturdays)-Time for everyone in the community get together and gossip
  • Free Time-Six hours where individuals can pursue their own interests every day.
  • Focused Enlightenment-Group enlightenment sessions that work like focus groups, perfect place to bounce ideas around.
